3 Must Try Beers

whats in your cooler Sept 2014

Remember that scene in The Great Outdoors when Roman says:

“Why do Chet’s kids look at him like he’s Zeus and my kids look at me like I’m a rack of lawn tools at Sears?”

Is that how you feel when you’re picking out beers? Are your choices about as exciting as, say, a rake? Well, fear not. In this week’s edition of What’s in Your Cooler we’ve selected and tasted must try beers.

Shiner White Wing Belgian White:

  • Shiner’s “White Wing” Belgian White has plenty of flavor–it’s citrusy (is that a word? probably not) and light.

Sierra Nevada Kellerweis:

  • Bold and smooth, like an eagle. CACAAAAW! USA! USA!  Ok, I’ll stop.
  • Soft aroma
  • Very easy to drink
  • Great cold but still decent after it got a bit warmer

Bridgeport IPA:

  • Good-n-hoppy, if you’re into that.
  • No aftertaste or bite.
  • “I feel like I’m in the woods.” — our tasting notes by the time we got to Bridgeport
  • Good value
